Science Teacher

Full and Part time options available

Recruitment and Retention Allowance available for the right candidate

 Required for September 2019

The Blandford School is a successful school with high aspirations for our students and is situated in the beautiful county of Dorset, 30 minutes from the beaches of Poole and Bournemouth and 40 minutes from the New Forest National Park.

With outstanding modern facilities and inspirational and dedicated staff, we seek to appoint an ambitious and creative teacher to join our Science Faculty. All Science specialisms will be considered and there is the opportunity to teach at all key stages within your specialism. The Blandford School has created a supportive and dynamic environment, and has a proven track record for developing and retaining our colleagues into further leadership roles.

This role would suit both a teacher with experience or those new to the profession, who would relish joining a supportive and forward thinking school and a department with a passion for Teaching and Learning.

The successful applicant will be working within a very successful faculty, boasting the best overall performance in the school and amongst all Science departments in Dorset when measuring by progress and attainment. In 2018 the Progress 8 Scores for all Science were well above the national average (0.5, 1.05, 1.7 and 1.1). The Head of Faculty is a dedicated leader who supports and develops colleagues to become outstanding teachers.
