A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at The Hayes Residential Home in Sherborne. We are seeking to employ a Care and Community Support Worker.
This is a varied role. You will need to hold a level 3 in Health and Social Care and be confident in all areas of medication - full training will be given.
Good leadership skills are a must, as you will be running the floor, with the support of a duty officer and the home manager, however you will be first point of contact for the care team.
You must be confident with speaking to members of the public and medical professionals, as you may be arranging GP visits or hospital appointments.
Ideally you would have worked in a senior position for 1 year +, however this is not essential for the right person.
Good communication, both written and verbal are essential.
There would be an expectation that the successful candidate would be available to work alternate weekends as part of your rota.
The home is located in Sherborne, so a car driver would be a benefit, however we are very close to the train station. You may required to attend some training in Wareham.
A competitive salary is offered with this role as well as sick pay and a generous annual leave entitlement.
