We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and ambitious Senior Duty Officer to have operational management responsibility for the customer service and administration function within our leisure facilities across East Dorset. The post holder will be the lead officer for the development of an excellent customer, and administration service (including elements of Human Resources, Finance and ICT).
You will be required to work some shifts as the operational manager, and will be responsible for the smooth running of a large and busy leisure complex. You will also be expected to lead and manage your teams to deliver a high quality, customer focused service.
The successful applicant will have a supervisory level qualification and/or experience and a proven record for managing and supervising teams in a customer facing environment. Although a qualification in Business Administration is desirable, it is not essential, although experience and knowledge of working with HR, ICT and financial systems will be. You will be a team player who understands the need to lead and motivate others.
The post holder will be required to work Monday – Sunday, 5 days out of 7 on a shift basis to meet business needs and will be mainly based across our leisure facilities within East Dorset. This may be subject to change if the service takes on the operation of any other local facilities. Normal operating hours will be between 5.45am – 11.30pm. You may be required to complete some out of hours work; work outside of normal hours will be given as TOIL.
You will also need excellent IT (including MS Office) skills.
