Administrations Officers / Customer Services Officer

Salary: £15,613 - £16,491 (Pro rata)

Plus Local Government Pension Scheme

Hours: 30 hours per week

The Christchurch and East Dorset Partnership is looking for a forward thinking individual to join their busy team in Leisure Services. The Partnership are looking for an Administrations Assistant / Customer Services Officer to join our busy team.  As a first point of call for all customers you will be confident, approachable and dedicated to providing the highest standard of customer care. The role will be made up of 22.5 hours administration based tasks and responsibilities and 7 hours based on the main reception at Two Riversmeet Leisure Centre.

The key duties for this position are:

  • Responsibility for block bookings and issuing contracts to customers

  • Manage income reconciliation in accordance with financial procedures and audit recommendations

  • Undertake personnel administration in accordance with Council Policy

  • Ensure purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes are managed and processed in accordance with Council policy

  • Dealing with customers both in person and over the telephone

  • Handling queries regarding the Centre, facilities, events and activities

  • Taking bookings and payments on the point of sale system

  • Assisting with general administration such as record keeping, replenishing leaflets and bookings and other lessons

  • Sales and Memberships ensuring membership administration is completed efficiently

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • The ability to work in a busy environment, be highly organised and have the ability to embrace change and new ways of working

  • Professional, smart approach and appearance

  • IT Skills and adaptable to bespoke computer based systems

  • The ability to work on their own initiative

  • Experience of cash handling, including card payments

  • Experience in customer services would be desirable.

  • Experience in HR matters and reconciling of financial accounts would be desirable

Flexibility and reliability are essential as you will be required to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holiday periods, 5 days out of 7 over a one week period.
