This is an interesting and demanding post registering births, deaths, stillbirths, marriages and civil partnerships and we are looking for a pro-active person who is organised, flexible, resilient and able to adapt to the widely differing demands of our customers.
What you will be doing
The post is based in Dorchester but the applicant will mainly work in any of the registration offices in the west covering the registrars when they are absent on annual leave, training, meetings or sickness. This post will also cover annual leave and sickness absence of Contact Centre Officers based at the Registration Service head office in Dorchester. When cover is not required the post-holder will undertake administration duties at the Registration Service head office in Dorchester.
You should have a proven record of delivering outstanding customer service within a public facing environment. You will need excellent attention to detail and you must also be able to work accurately and independently under pressure. IT work is integral to this role and we are looking for a candidate with excellent skills who can pro-actively resolve issues and adapt to new technology as required.
There is extensive travel with this post and the officer will be expected to provide their own car. Occasional standby and call out cover for some bank holidays will also be required
Aptitude and IT tests will take place in Dorchester on Wednesday 10 June 2020 and interviews will be held on Thursday 11 June 2020.
