Our vibrant Housing Options Team provides a service aimed at finding members of the public appropriate housing solutions and undertaking homelessness assessments.
What you will own and how you will grow:
This is an exciting and challenging time within Housing Options and the role gives an opportunity to be involved in the implementation of the Homeless Reduction Act from the beginning. The Act comes into force on the 3rd April 2018 and its purpose is to ensure accurate, in-depth and personally tailored advice is available for all. Full and extensive training will be provided to ensure your ongoing development.
What we are about:
The Housing Options Team is a specialist team dealing with households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This is an exciting and challenging role and will involve working with both families and single people to ensure early intervention, prevention and assisting households in finding solutions to their housing problems.
The successful candidates will promote and provide an advice and information service to prevent homelessness, including an out of hours service on a rota basis. You will promote a range of housing solutions and will also provide advice to landlords and tenants regarding their statutory rights.

This post is currently being evaluated under the Council’s Job Evaluation scheme. It is anticipated that the grading for this post will be Grade G6, with corresponding salaries of £24,174 – £26,822 (based on 37 hours a week). This, however, cannot be confirmed at this time.
