Empty Homes Officer

22.5 hours per week

£16,310 - £17,831

What you’re great at:

We are looking for an Empty Homes Officer to join the Dorset Councils Partnership.

You will be part of a progressive private sector Housing team. Your primary focus will be to reduce the number of homes that are left vacant, through a policy of advice, assistance and intervention where appropriate.

You will have experience of working with property owners providing efficient, customer focused support with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.

You will be a confident communicator using different methods and styles and will possess knowledge and practical application of IT systems.

What you will own and how you will grow:

You will be emotionally resilient and possess drive & motivation to deliver change and new approaches.

In addition to your own workload, you will be required to support your colleagues and work flexibly across the Service as the need arises.

What we are about:

This is a pivotal time for our Councils, as we transform and modernise services to enable the partnership’s transformation ambitions.

You may be required to participate in an out of hours service when required.

The Partnership promotes innovative flexible working to support and encourage anyone who requires this flexibility to balance work and life.

Although the post is based in Dorchester, you may be required to work from other offices owing to the needs of the Partnership.

Dorset Councils Partnership believes that people do their best work if we make it easier for them to meet their personal responsibilities.  The Partnership promotes innovative flexible and part-time working to support and encourage anyone who requires this flexibility to balance work and life.  The Partnership is committed to making our recruitment process barrier-free, and as inclusive as possible for everyone.
