Senior Co-Ordinator

Permanent - Full time 37 hours per week

£25,481 - £37,890

County Hall, Dorchester

Dorset Council’s Traffic Team are seeking a Senior Roadspace Coordinator to join the team. This role will take responsibility for managing/coordinating activities on the highway network, and providing technical advice to works promoters to meet our legal obligations and the requirements of the Dorset Council Permit Scheme. You will be responsible for a geographical area of Dorset, to ensure that you ‘Keep Dorset Moving’. It will also be your responsibility for the timely and legal delivery of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders.

What you will be doing

You will have excellent communication skills as this role will involve regular liaison with works promoters/event organisers to discuss and negotiate communication and traffic management plans. You will also be responsible for liaising and representing Dorset Council at multi agency meetings.

About you

Experience of working with legislation related to highways and traffic management such as the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the New Roads & Street Works Act 1991 is highly desirable.

The role will require irregular Travel so a Driving Licence will be required
