Social Workers and Occupational Therapists – Peripatetic Team £27,358 to £37,107 salary dependent on experience

Our highly successful Peripatetic Team provides opportunities for both experienced and newly qualified Social Workers and Occupational Therapists to support short term resource gaps in teams providing services across a range of specialisms. There are also opportunities to get involved in interesting and innovative project work.

Work base is negotiable and a range of full and part time contracts are available covering the West (Dorchester, Bridport, Weymouth and Portland and Dorset County Hospital, our Central Dorset area (North Dorset and Purbeck) and in the East of the County (Ferndown and Christchurch).  You will have opportunities to work with people with learning disabilities, older people and younger adults with mental health and physical disabilities and may be involved in hospital social work.   

The Peripatetic Team has a bespoke offer to Newly Qualified Social Workers, including the ASYE programme, rotational placements and access to a range of support and learning opportunities. The rotational placements can lead to permanent placements within a particular team.

You must have a degree in Social Work / Occupational Therapy or equivalent, be registered with the HCPC and be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the post.
