We are looking to increase our pool of sessional workers to undertake short term specific and focused pieces of work with children, young people and their families. The aim of the Community Resource Work Service is to deliver proactive care and activity-based work with children and young people, and to support children in care having contact with their families.  Our CRWs provide support to meet the needs of children and young people and offer them purposeful opportunities for change to improve their life chances. We work with children who are in our care and those whose families may need some extra help from time to time. Some children we work with have additional needs and are disabled.

We are looking for People:

  • Any age above 18
  • Who have the skills and aptitude to work with young people in a variety of environments; indoors in the family home or a contact centre, in the community, sports based, academic, technical or just offering a listening ear and providing emotional support;
  • With the ability to work as part of a small group or on their own;
  • Who are dependable and reliable;
  • Who may already be employed in the child care or people work environment.

If you have:

  • Experience of or a real interest in working with children and young people;
  • The potential to build positive relationships and earn trust;
  • The ability to think creatively and respond to changing situations;
  • Energy and patience;
  • Some time to spare and can be contacted to discuss specific work;
