Frontline Children’s Social Workers (Level 2 and 3)

Various Locations Across Dorset

Salary: £30,153 - £37,306 (depending on level and experience)

Looking for a  new challenge in 2018? If you’re an experienced social worker with at least two years’ experience and a track record of building relationships and making a difference to children’s lives, make Dorset the next stop in your career.

We’re putting all our efforts into making sure our social workers have manageable caseloads, feel safe and supported and have the time to work with families so they can make a real difference.

Our councillors value social work and have given us £1m to recruit 20 additional experienced social workers to help make this happen.

We offer a range of benefits including:

    • a generous relocation package
    • flexible working
    • a bonus for new, experienced recruits after completing 24 months in the role

We also have our Reinvigorating Social Work (RSW) programme - a bespoke package of learning, development and support for social workers that focuses less on process and more on professional judgement. Backed with £1.9m from the Department for Education, this unique programme is a great addition to your continuous professional development.

Part of our Care and Protection service, you’ll be based in one of the following teams:

    • Central (Sturminster Newton and Wareham)
    • East (Ferndown)
    • West (Dorchester)
    • South (Weymouth)
    • 0-12 (Dorchester and Ferndown)

You’d also be working in a beautiful county that is home to the world-famous Jurassic Coast with glorious countryside and stunning beaches.

It’s an exciting time to join us. We believe that we’ve got the right formula to make a real difference and you could be part of it. Visit our children’s social work recruitment microsite.
