Business Support Assistant 

Permanent - 37 hours per week 

£18,426 - £19,171


The role will be part of a busy business support team providing assistance to a variety of customers both internal and external to Dorset Highways.

What you will be doing 

The role will:

  • Involve typing and emailing of stakeholder letters to the public, Councillors and other relevant services.
  • Be customer facing, being the primary person to answer the phone and respond to visiting customers.
  • Be responsible for receiving and disseminating post including scanning of letters into Confirm
  • Be responsible for typing quotations and letters to the public
  • Arrange calibration of equipment as and when required
  • Be responsible for actioning two-hour emergency call-outs.

About you

This person will;

  • Be Customer centric, dealing appropriately with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Be accurate and have an attention to detail
  • Have a knowledge of Highways
  • Be able to use bespoke systems such as Confirm, Highways Explorer and Q-pulse
  • Have a good level of typing skills
  • Be reliable
