Service Support Officer (20 hours per week) (Dorchester)
Salary details: £9400 - £10092
Social Worker, Level 3, 30 hours, this is a new post based at Dorset County Hospital Dorchester, Dorset.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Practitioner who will enjoy working in an acute hospital setting. You will join an enthusiastic, friendly and well-established team with a low staff turnover.
You will be responsible for helping individuals and families cope with problems they’re facing and improve people’s lives. Your role will include complex casework, guidance for others, MDT working and you will be expected to work creatively, flexibly and with speed and quality to achieve timely discharges. Hospital experience is desirable but not essential if you have transferable skills, particularly in risk management and are motivated to develop skills and knowledge in a new area.

You will be based at the Dorset County Hospital and could be required to travel to, or remotely support other hospitals within Dorset or on Dorset's Borders who provide a service to Dorset customers.

This position sits within the Adult and Community Services Directorate. You must have a degree or equivalent in a relevant social care or health profession, be registered with the HCPC, and be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the job.
