Social Worker Level 1 - 21 hours per week

An exciting opportunity to work within a community hospital setting along side a multi disciplinary hub, with a supported team.

You will carry out strength base person centred assessments under the Care Act 2014 and support vulnerable older people and adults with long term physical disabilities within a rural setting.

For further details or an informal discussion about this vacancy, please contact Robert Merry, Area Practice Manager on 01258 474012 or via email: r.merry@dorsetcc.gov.uk.

You must have a degree in Social Work / Occupational Therapy or equivalent, be registered with the HCPC and be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the post.

Dorset County Council requires all newly qualified social workers to undertake the assessed and supported year in employment (ASYE) and meet the expected standards during the ASYE period.

The ASYE arrangements should normally apply to the appointment of all newly qualified social workers who qualified after September 2012 unless they can demonstrate that they already fully meet the standards laid out in the professional capabilities framework (PCF).

This post involves working with vulnerable adults and/or having access to significant information about them and will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
